Overview

UploadStudy ("we", "us") runs and operates uploadstudy.com, an AI flashcard generator. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account data: your email address and name when you sign up through Clerk, our authentication provider.
• Uploaded files: PDFs or photos you upload to generate flashcards. We process these files and then delete them from our storage. We do not keep your original study material.
• Generated content: flashcard decks and cards you create, stored so you can study them later.
• Payment data: purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy. We store order references and plan details, not your full card number.
• Feedback: messages you send through our feedback form, optionally with your email address.

How we use your data

• To run the service: generate flashcards, save decks, and manage your account.
• To process one-off payments and send purchase receipts.
• To send transactional emails (welcome, usage limits, feedback confirmations).
• To improve the product based on feedback you choose to submit.

Third-party services

We use these providers to run UploadStudy:

• Clerk: authentication
• Supabase: database and temporary file storage
• Google Gemini: AI flashcard generation from your uploads
• Lemon Squeezy: payments
• Resend: transactional email
• Vercel: hosting

Each provider has its own privacy policy for how they handle data on our behalf.

Data retention

Uploaded PDFs and photos are deleted after flashcard generation completes. We keep your account, generated decks, and purchase records until you delete your account or ask us to remove them. Deleting a deck removes its flashcards permanently.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can also delete individual decks from your dashboard at any time.
